Our Coaching Program

Is designed for and committed to solving your scholar's math issues both in the classroom and at home. Each student's math program targets what he or she is doing at school and focuses on particular needs.

Following the school's curriculum allows the student to keep up with studies and allows the coach the opportunity to review anything not understood. Working in tandem with the schools we believe our students will excel and improve their grades faster.

How It Works:

Once you've determined your child needs help in math studies, simply call us at 770-845-8040 and we will tell you more about the coaching program.
Feel free to ask as many questions as you'd like - we are always happy to address any concerns you may have.

After the initial phone call, a consultation will be done with the parent(s) and child to determine the amount and type of coaching. Goals are set and a coaching plan of action begins to take shape.

During your child's session we will carefully and individually...

• Help them understand the math taught in their classroom and in their school books
• Prepare them for upcoming math requirements and tests
• Help them understand their math homework and how to "find the answer" at home
• Strengthen their basic foundation skills by doing examples problems
• Teach them how to prepare for tests
• Motivate and build essential skills thereby building self confidence and self esteem

How we do it

We work hard to really get through to our students. We spend a lot of our time working actual problems. We look at lots of examples. We try different approaches. We teach the student how math relates to real life problems. We study what happens when we perform steps incorrectly. This is very important!

Children love to learn, but must also be motivated to learn. We track weekly math work, tests, and report cards and give rewards when improvements are made. We teach skill sets and how to know which tools to use at the right time.

Time management is very important in preparing students for middle school. Mathematics is a subject where each concept is dependent on the student understanding the previous one. This is why before a child is moved to the next level he/she must be able to complete math work within a specified amount of time.

Most of all, we listen to our students and have a fun learning environment. We hear the underlying message in what they say. We push the ones who need challenges. We guide the ones who feel lost. And we notice the difference.
