I was born in New York and raised in Florida. I served in the Navy for 4 years where I learned the importance of attention to detail, time management, and organization. I continued serving in active reserve while attending Rutgers University. While at Rutgers I was able to use my Math talent to master over ten calculus, probability, and statistics courses and tutored other students. I graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Computer Science.

Upon graduation I spent several years working in consulting, database management and business analysis roles within the information technology field and also became a mentor to students from elementary through high school. Since 1992 I have used my problem solving and analytical skills developed through math education to coach/mentor children ranging from elementary to high school. I love working with children and seeing the first time when they have that "light bulb" moment. I am also a wife and mother of three beautiful children.

Many students are capable of doing much better, but they suffer from a lack of motivation and self-confidence. Motivation and self-confidence are critical to performing well on tests, especially math tests. At Brain Coach for Kids student progress is rewarded. Students are never criticized for asking questions or showing a lack of understanding. In fact, questions are encouraged, and mistakes are viewed as a learning opportunity.

My goal is to give your child the skills and confidence to succeed in their academic career, because every child has that capability. I hope you see evidence of this through our time together.
